Saint Therese Catholic School is holding a community event on Sunday, May 20, from noon to 3pm, to celebrate their re-opening this August as St. Therese Catholic Academy.
Thanks to the generosity of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, KIPP founder Scott Hamilton, and Seton Education Partners, St.Therese is undergoing a significant transformation, becoming the first blended technology Catholic school in the Northwest.
This cutting-edge learning model will provide Seattle families, regardless of their income, an excellent preschool through 8th-grade education that ignites the minds, dreams, and faith of their children. By encouraging creativity, knowledge, and character, St. Therese prepares all students to excel academically, physically, socially, and spiritually in high school, college, and beyond.
Blended learning is a 21st century teaching method championed by Hamilton to integrate technology into a classic classroom format. By combining small group instruction with individualized computer-based learning, blended-learning schools like the KIPP:Empower Academies and Rocketship Schools in California have consistently outperformed national academic averages.
Tuition at St. Therese is based on income, and assistance is available. Interested families can learn more about St. Therese Catholic Academyʼs blended-learning program by visiting http://www.sainttheresesea.org/
